Junior Architect

Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Junior Architect (licensed or not) with 3+ years of professional experience who enjoys residential architecture and wants to take an active role in project development from initial design through construction documentation. ResponsibilitiesSupport the design and documentation of residential architecture projects through all phases of development.Prepare design studies, conceptual drawings, permit sets, and construction documents.Coordinate with consultants, engineers, jurisdictions, and project stakeholders.Apply California Building Code, zoning regulations, and local planning requirements to produce compliant designs.Work closely with project teams to meet project schedules, milestones, and deadlines.Lead and mentor a team of drafters while reviewing drawing quality and consistency.Participate in client meetings, project coordination, and design discussions.Analyze existing structures to determine best solutions for new designs.Assist with project permitting and respond to plan check comments as needed.Maintain accurate project documentation and organization throughout each phase of work.Address city corrections and facilitate project approval through citiesMaintain professional communication skills in written and verbal forms.
