The Junior Architect supports licensed architects and senior design professionals in the planning, design, and documentation of buildings and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with architectural design and project development.
Prepare drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents using CAD or BIM software.
Support senior architects with project coordination and documentation.
Conduct site visits and assist with field measurements and project inspections.
Research building codes, zoning regulations, materials, and design standards.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
Assist with preparing permit and construction documentation.
Revise drawings based on client feedback, design changes, and field conditions.
Help maintain project schedules, records, and design files.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
Typically 0–3 years of professional experience.
Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM/design tools.
Basic knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and architectural principles.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Progress toward architectural licensure is often preferred but not always required.
