The Role
Antefixe USA LLC is seeking an Architecture Designer to join our fast-growing architectural team in NYC, supporting luxury retail projects including flagship boutiques, mall boutiques, shop-in-shops, and high-end renovations for internationally recognized brands.
This role is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within luxury retail architecture and construction. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of Construction Document (CD) sets and support project execution from survey through construction coordination while maintaining the highest standards of quality, precision, and design excellence.
Our project work requires dynamic versatility in scale, type, and content. Candidates should be able to multi-task, self-monitor for quality control, adapt to company procedures and standards, and confidently complete architectural design and production drawings.
Responsibilities
Survey and document existing field conditions to gather data required for design development and construction documentationInterpret surveys, architectural sketches, consultant drawings, and engineering informationPrepare comprehensive architectural technical drawings and detailed construction documents using AutoCAD 2D softwareStrong understanding of AutoCAD 2D work environment including Layers, Blocks, Layer States, Xrefs, and sheet coordinationPerform ADA and basic building code compliance studies under supervision of the Project ArchitectAssist in developing interior and exterior architectural details for luxury retail environmentsCoordinate architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical information throughout project phasesSupport the preparation and organization of CD sets for retail projects including new openings and renovationsMaintain project documentation, drawing revisions, and coordination files following company standardsPrepare project charts, tracking logs, and monitoring files per corporate proceduresConduct site visits and assist with field verification when requiredSupport coordination with consultants, vendors, contractors, and internal project teamsAssist in reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and finish samples under supervision of the Project ArchitectMaintain organized digital and physical project files following company procedures and standards
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or technical school graduate2–5 years of experience in an architectural office or related professional environmentExperience with retail, hospitality, commercial interiors, or millwork projects preferredAbility to observe, evaluate, and document site conditions accuratelyBasic understanding of building components, detailing, and construction methodsAbility to multi-task and work collaboratively within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary office environmentProficiency in AutoCAD requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Familiarity with Bluebeam, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or Revit is a plusExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and quality control
