Aedas Seattle is seeking a Laboratory Architect (5–7 Years of Experience) to support the design, programming, and technical delivery of complex life science, biotechnology, and institutional projects. This position is ideal for an ambitious architect looking to take ownership of specialized laboratory spaces within a collaborative team. 5-7 years of professional architecture experience, with at least 3 years dedicated directly to life science and research environmentsExperience with biology research, laboratory design and planning, equipment tracking, and familiarity with laboratory casework requiredExperience with specialty laboratory spaces (vivarium, chemistry, GMP, pharmaceutical research, process/manufacturing facilities, and/or science teaching) a plusKnowledge of the Seattle building code, ADA, and experience with Puget Sound region permitting processes requiredAbility to build and maintain strong relationships and positively contribute to project teamsStrong organizational skills and thorough understanding of design, permitting and construction processesAdvanced knowledge of sustainable design practices, project delivery, and construction processesAbility to work on multiple complex projects concurrentlyProficiency in AutoDesk software, particularly Revit, requiredDigital visualization and graphics skills (Rhino, Grasshopper, Photoshop, vRay, Enscape, etc.) With the belief that a global design practice be embedded in the communities in which it serves, Aedas Seattle is supported by one of the most creative design practices in the world, where we deliver global expertise with the innate knowledge and understanding of our local culture.
