A Landscape Architect's License from any state or political subdivision of the United States.As a Landscape Architect Trainee, you will serve a 24-month traineeship that leads to Assistant Landscape Architect, Grade 20. A bachelor's or higher-level degree in landscape architecture; and proof of passing any two sections of the Landscape Architect Registration Exam (LARE); OR2. *For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination.
