Lead Architect for AI Development

Your Role As the Lead Architect for Teradata AI Studio, you will play a key role in defining the technical framework of Teradata's comprehensive AI development environment. Making architectural decisions that are actionable and trusted by engineers and clients.Facilitating large-scale adoption of AI Studio among enterprise customers.Leading discussions with Teradata’s Core Data Platform team on Vantage integration aspects.Partnering with the Security and Governance team to implement robust AI controls.Engaging directly with key customers to design solutions that address enterprise challenges.Your Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have: 10+ years of software engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior architect or principal engineer capacity.Proven track record in designing AI/ML platforms and developer tools, including model serving infrastructure, feature stores, experiment tracking, MLOps pipelines, or AI agent environments.Comprehensive knowledge of LLM integration patterns including RAG architectures, and fine-tuning pipelines.Deep understanding of enterprise data platforms like Teradata Vantage or similar.Experience building platforms that developers can adopt and extend, and familiarity with open-source AI tools.A solid grasp of enterprise AI governance requirements.Experience with cloud architectures and containerized ML workloads.Strong ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority.A portfolio showcasing your architectural decisions, including RFCs, design outlines, or contributions to open-source projects.A passion for harnessing AI to empower teams and communities.What We Offer: At Teradata, we prioritize a culture where people come first.
