Lead Architectural Designer/Plans Administrator

Job Summary

Leading regional residential builder presents an opportunity for a qualified designer/drafter that has 10+ years of experience with AutoCad Architecture. This position can be a hybrid work environment with both remote and occasional in-office duties. If the right candidate would prefer a full-time office environment, this also would be acceptable. Company offices are located in Fayetteville, NC.

Duties

Maintain existing plan catalogue consisting of 50+ single family floorplans and 6+ townhome plans.
Create 25+ semi-custom floorplans per year working with our sales agents & design staff for presale customers.
Create 8+ new residential floorplans annually
Coordinate with outside Engineering firm for new plan designs/plan changes/code changes as required
Supervise training for a Junior Designer already on staff
Create interior details for design department and field use (i.e. tile shower layouts, accent wall patterns, etc.)
Coordinate/Create Lot Specific drawings from master plan sets for each home to be built. Approximately 300+ units annually.
Support construction management activities by reviewing drawings, conducting site visits, and ensuring plans are executed accurately on-site.

Experience

Proven experience in AutoCad architectural design leadership with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in new construction projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex and shifting priorities to keep production flow in motion.
Proven track record of residential designs working for a production based single family builder.
Excellent communication skills necessary. Maintaining a positive disposition with other departments internally, outside partnerships and support staff.
Knowledge of interior design principles and IRC/NC residential building codes; experience working on renovation projects is advantageous.

Pay: From $92,000.00 per year
