Lead Architectural Designer - Sustainable Housing

Responsibilities: Lead the conceptualization and design development of sustainable residential projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and firm standards. Develop detailed architectural drawings, models, and renderings using industry-standard software. Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the design and construction process. Incorporate sustainable design strategies, including passive design, renewable energy systems, and eco-friendly materials, into project designs. Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards. Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new projects. Prepare design presentations and proposals for client meetings. Oversee the work of junior designers and provide mentorship and guidance. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in architectural design, sustainable technologies, and building materials. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Licensed Architect (RA) preferred, or actively working towards licensure. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on residential projects. Demonstrated expertise in sustainable design principles and certifications (e.g., LEED AP). Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering programs (e.g., Lumion, V-Ray). Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and systems. Excellent visual, spatial, and conceptual design skills. Proven leadership abilities and experience managing project teams. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet demanding deadlines. Portfolio showcasing relevant sustainable housing design experience is required.
