Lead Architectural Project Manager

Our client, a distinguished architectural firm known for its innovative designs, is seeking a highly experienced Lead Architectural Project Manager to oversee key projects in Huntsville, Alabama, US . This critical role demands exceptional leadership, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of architectural design, construction processes, and client relations. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design development through construction administration and project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage architectural projects from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery on all objectives. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Oversee the preparation of design documents, construction drawings, and specifications. Conduct site visits and construction administration activities to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design intent. Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies. Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Ensure all projects adhere to relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards. Manage client expectations and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Review and approve project-related documentation, including submittals and change orders. Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposal preparation and client presentations. Stay current with architectural trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in architectural project management, with a significant portfolio of successfully completed projects. Professional Architect (RA) license is required. Proven experience managing complex, large-scale architectural projects. Expertise in project management methodologies, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project), and budget management. Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and contract administration. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit and AutoCAD. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Experience in a client-facing role is essential.
