The primary responsibility of the Storage and Data Protection Engineer is to provide Storage and Data Protection design consulting services and be the driver behind the storage standards for the Secure Area IT organization. SME for the Secure Area IT team in the areas of Data Protection and StorageProvide Storage and Data Protection design support for secure area environments projects and programsEstablish, document and maintain configuration and security standards per ICD 503 (RMF) for the use and configuration of Storage Networks, NAS, Hyperconverged platforms and Data Protection (Data Backup and Archive).Storage Asset Management tracking and vendor coordination for annual maintenance support contract renewal.Consulting with programs or pursuits to design and recommend Storage and data protection.Capable of leading and managing storage expansion/upgrade projects.Provide and manage training and training opportunities for the Secure Area IT team.Learn and advise on company, IT, and Customer security policiesCommitted to supporting critical operations during standard business hours and providing flexible support as needed outside standard hours.Work is 100% on-site and cannot be accomplished remotely.Infrequent travel (about 10%) to remote sites as requiredQualifications: 10+ years’ experience in Storage Administration and Data Protection managing an enterprise class environment, preferably in a classified environment.TS/SCI w/ CI Poly required.Ability to lift 30 pounds and participate in 2 person lifts.CompTIA Security + CE or ability to get one within 6 months.Preferred Additional Skills: In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
