Lead Product Architect

In your role as a Lead Product Architect, you will:

Create comprehensive end-to-end architecture and robust designs for new security products and features.Address complex security challenges while ensuring the designs encompass configuration, reporting, and runtime components, including data analytics and attack detection.Collaborate closely with product management to finalize requirements that align with our technology and deliver value to customers.Define the architecture and functionality necessary for both new and existing products to meet project requirements.Work in tandem with various teams to address non-functional needs such as security, availability, and scalability.Present your designs for feedback and guide engineering teams during the detailed design and implementation phases.Continuously develop your expertise in security products and the industry landscape, contributing to the vision and technical roadmap of our offerings.To thrive in this role, you should have:

A minimum of 12 years of software development experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience in designing large-scale, low-latency, web-based distributed systems.A strong understanding of big data analytics, machine learning algorithms, and effective AI utilization in software solutions.A strategic, holistic approach to feature design, along with a comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and web technologies.Excellent interpersonal skills with a capacity to present ideas clearly and collaborate efficiently.The ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to incomplete information with resilience.A passionate commitment to creating customer-centric features that effectively solve users’ problems.A proactive mindset towards research, documentation, and a continuous learning attitude towards new technologies.At Akamai, we improve lives daily, enabling seamless access to entertainment, social media, financial management, and more. Our compensation for this position ranges from $169,300 to $304,700 annually for U.S.-based candidates, depending on related experience and location.
