Lead Technical Architect for Enterprises

Datavant Salem, Oregon $116,000–$145,000 a year

Join Datavant, a leader in data collaboration for healthcare. Our mission is to secure, access, and make health data actionable, empowering organizations across the healthcare ecosystem – from providers to researchers and life sciences companies. Whether facilitating a patient's request for their medical records or supporting AI innovation in healthcare, we are at the forefront of connecting and utilizing data to enhance health outcomes.

As part of a motivated and collaborative team, you will be instrumental in driving transformative change in healthcare. We are looking for a Lead Technical Architect for Enterprises to act as a pivotal technical leader for our most challenging enterprise initiatives, managing uncertainties, influencing stakeholders, and delivering scalable outcomes.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead comprehensive technical delivery for large-scale enterprise clients, coordinating across multiple systems and stakeholders.

Design and implement complex integrations and workflows that are scalable, maintainable, and align with long-term client goals.

Act as the technical liaison for significant projects, balancing urgency, risk, and business effects.

Develop an in-depth understanding of customer ecosystems, data flows, and business goals to effectively guide solution design and ensure adoption.

Translate intricate technical information into practical, actionable insights for both technical teams and executive management.

Influence client decisions by relating Datavant capabilities to tangible business benefits.

Facilitate collaboration across Engineering, Product, Strategic Engagement, GTM, Science, and Privacy teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

Minimize ambiguities by setting clear plans, roles, and success metrics for all stakeholders.

Serve as a trusted partner for internal teams, contributing to product direction through structured feedback and insights.

Identify trends across customer projects and develop repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and automation strategies.

Balance custom customer requirements with efficient delivery models that support growth.

Drive operational enhancements that improve team efficiency, consistency, and quality.

Mentor and uplift other team members in the Technical Solutions department through constructive guidance and knowledge sharing.

Establish high standards for technical decision-making, customer engagement, and project execution.

Influence inter-team decisions by providing clear, data-driven insights and strong perspectives.

What You Bring:

A proven history of leading large-scale, complex enterprise implementations or integrations.

Strong technical understanding of APIs, data workflows, and systems integration.

Ability to manage high-pressure, ambiguous situations and guide them to resolution.

Experience in linking technical choices to business results and ensuring long-term viability.

Track record of developing reproducible solutions, frameworks, or processes that benefit multiple clients.

Strong judgment in reconciling speed versus quality and customization versus standardization.

Experience leading cross-functional initiatives without direct managerial authority.

Expert at aligning various stakeholders and making decisions in complicated settings.

Exceptional communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

A history of fostering trusted, long-term relationships with clients.

A proactive ownership mentality with a strong focus on accountability and follow-through.

5-8+ years in a customer-centered technical role (such as solutions engineering, project management, or similar).
