We’re excited to partner with a well‑established architecture firm in Virginia Beach that is seeking an experienced Architect to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned professional who enjoys leading diverse projects, collaborating with clients, and delivering high‑quality design solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of industry experience working in a firm

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture

• Has experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suites

• Ability to lead and manage architectural design projects, ensuring adherence to project goals, budgets, and timelines

• Ability to develop and present design concepts and solutions that align with client requirements and project objectives

• Ability to foster and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and project management

• Willing to mentor AIT and junior architects

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

•Third party sustainability experience or accreditation

•Experience working at a smaller firm

Role Overview

The Architect will manage 3–10 projects simultaneously, guiding each from initial concept through construction administration. The work spans a variety of sectors, including educational, municipal, state, federal, financial, and commercial facilities. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills and a passion for thoughtful, compliant, and innovative design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution across multiple active projects

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams

• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements

• Deliver solutions that align with client goals and project constraints

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience

• Proven experience managing complex architectural projects

• Architectural license strongly preferred, but not required

Work Environment

• Hybrid schedule based in Virginia Beach

• Work from home Mondays and Fridays

• Full‑time with core hours of 9am–4pm

Annual Pay: $80,000-$125,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
