Bettisworth North Architects and Planners is seeking an experienced, licensed architect to join its Anchorage team.

As Alaska Community Builders, Bettisworth North brings architects, landscape architects, and interior designers together to create places where Alaskans live, learn, work, and gather. The firm’s approach emphasizes thoughtful design, sound technical work, and genuine collaboration with clients, consultants, communities, and colleagues.

Position Responsibilities

Lead architectural projects from design through constructionDevelop high-quality, technically sound, and inspiring design solutionsPerform building code analysis and support permittingCoordinate architectural work with engineering and specialty consultantsPrepare and review construction drawings and specificationsSupport construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and field observationsParticipate in project management and QA/QC reviewsMentor and support developing staffQualifications

Professional degree in architectureSix or more years of experience in an architectural practiceArchitectural licensureStrong Revit skills, including documentation, detailing, and consultant coordinationPractical knowledge of building codes and constructionClear communication and effective teamworkInterest in building a long-term career in AlaskaWorking at Bettisworth North
