DC is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Architectural Designer III to spearhead the design and documentation of exquisite luxury residential projects. This involves close coordination with Sales, Operations, clients, consultants, and relevant jurisdictions. This position is open to candidates authorized to work in the United States. Duties/Responsibilities:Lead the design and documentation of high-end custom residential projects, transforming client aspirations into clear architectural guidelines with strong planning and refined composition.Manage and develop Revit models and plan sets from schematic design to permit-ready documentation, producing well-coordinated drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and notes) that are precise, clear, and easily constructible.Act as a primary contact for client and consultant collaboration, guiding design choices, integrating technical insights, and ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, quality, and design vision across both internal and external teams.Conduct code and zoning research, incorporating permitting requirements early on, while coordinating effectively with planning departments to facilitate approvals and promptly address feedback.Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Construction teams to ensure that project expectations are upheld and that documentation supports successful execution and high-quality results.Enhance workflows, templates, and drafting standards to minimize rework, promote clarity, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and design excellence.Required Skills/Abilities:Advanced proficiency in Revit for intricate residential modeling and documentation.Exceptional design judgment with a keen attention to detail, particularly at luxury levels.Strong communication skills and ability to present to clients effectively.Proactive problem-solver with excellent organizational skills.Collaborative team player who can delegate responsibilities and drive results.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.Education and Experience:In-depth knowledge of construction methods, assemblies, and industry best practices for documentation.Preferred experience in high-end residential detailing, integration of premium materials, and consultant collaboration.Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Architecture, Building Design, Construction Science, or a related field.8-10+ years of professional experience in architectural design and documentation.Benefits:Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage with low premiums for you and eligible dependents.SIMPLE IRA Plan with a company match up to 3%.Health FSA and Dependent Care FSA options.Generous Paid Holidays.Paid Time Off for work-life balance.About Us: This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career alongside dedicated, hardworking professionals who take pride in their work and enjoy their craft.
