Mid Level Landscape Designer at Carlile Macy, Inc. Santa Rosa, CA

We have a full-time opening and are seeking a self-motivated and well-organized mid-level landscape designer to join our landscape architecture team. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team under general supervision in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment on a wide variety of projects from preliminary planning stages through construction administration. Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited landscape architecture program 3 – 5+ years minimum relevant professional experience in a landscape architecture firm or similar Demonstrated computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office, current versions of AutoCAD and Civil3D, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) Computer literacy and proficiency with Land F/X and SketchUp, a plus Demonstrated experience in preparation and production of conceptual and technical plans, maps, graphic exhibits, and construction documents related to land planning and landscape architecture Technical understanding of planting design; irrigation systems; site grading, drainage, and storm water management; and construction materials and methods Basic knowledge of planning and entitlement processes Ability to learn and follow established company standards and procedures Ability to seek answers and guidance, take direction, and make compromises to achieve team and project goals Familiarity, interest, and/or experience in sustainable and “green,” low-impact development strategies, a plus Carlile Macy employees receive pay commensurate with their experience, responsibilities, and contributions to the success of the company in addition to a generous benefits package, career support, and discretionary bonuses.
