Job Title: OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) ArchitectLocation: Richmond, VA (Onsite preferred; nearby candidates strongly considered)Visa: No ConstraintsJob Type: W2Experience: 8+ years IT; 3+ years hands-on cloud (OCI preferred)About the Role: You will design, review, and implement Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and solution offerings. This role partners with customer agencies, managed cloud suppliers, and internal teams to ensure environments are efficient, secure, compliant, and aligned to OCI best practices and well-architected frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect, implement, and optimize OCI landing zones and workloads (compartments, policies, IAM, network, compute, storage, database, monitoring).Perform architecture and security reviews for proposed changes/projects; document risks, mitigations, and recommendations.Champion best practices / well-architected principles across reliability, performance, cost, security, and operations.Collaborate with agencies, managed service providers, and internal stakeholders to align architecture to business priorities and compliance requirements.Create design artifacts (HLD/LLD), runbooks, and standards; present solutions to technical and executive audiences.Guide migrations and implementations of OS/applications into OCI; ensure operational readiness (backup, DR, observability).Support governance: cost management, tagging, guardrails, policy controls, and change management.Required Qualifications:

8+ years forward-thinking IT experience with enterprise systems.3+ years hands-on public cloud experience (OCI strongly preferred).Proven cloud architecture, operations, and management background in OCI.Experience conducting security reviews and assessing change impacts on the IT environment.Practical experience implementing/migrating/managing OS/applications in enterprise cloud.Strong knowledge of cloud networking architectures: VCNs/virtual networks, VPN, subnets, network security groups, route tables, load balancers, private/public endpoints.Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate architecture into business value.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.Preferred / Nice to Have

Oracle OCI certifications (Architect Associate/Professional, Security, Networking).Familiarity with OCI services such as IAM & Policies, Cloud Guard, WAF, Logging/Monitoring/Alarms, Object & Block Storage, Compute, OKE/Functions, Bastions, Data Safe/Database services.Experience with governance & compliance frameworks and cost optimization. #LI-SS1
