Office Leader, Architecture

Our client, a highly respected architecture, engineering, and design firm with a strong presence across New York State, is seeking an experienced Office Leader to lead and grow its Syracuse office during an exciting leadership transition.

This role is ideal for a licensed architect who enjoys balancing strategic leadership, team development, business growth, and client relationship management while remaining engaged in project oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall operations, performance, and strategic direction of the Syracuse office

• Mentor, coach, and develop architects, designers, and support staff

• Drive business development, market expansion, and client engagement efforts throughout Central New York

• Serve as a visible leader within the community and industry

• Foster a collaborative, high-performing office culture

• Support succession planning and long-term leadership continuity

• Oversee large-scale projects, including scope, staffing, budgets, schedules, and client management

Qualifications:

• Licensed Architect required (NY preferred)

• 10+ years of progressive architectural experience

• Prior leadership, office management, or studio leadership experience preferred

• Strong business development and client relationship skills

• Experience mentoring teams and managing office operations

• Knowledge of the Syracuse/Central New York market strongly preferred

• Revit proficiency preferred; Deltek experience a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $135,620 – $167,850
