Part-Time Architect

A reputable architecture firm in Akron is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team

As a Preservation Architect you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while also ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations

You will work closely with clients contractors and other team members to deliver high-quality projects that meet the unique needs of each project

This position offers a competitive salary of 1800$ per month and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the beautiful city of Akron

Responsibilities Conducting thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine necessary preservation measures

Developing preservation plans and designs that comply with building codes and regulations

Collaborating with clients contractors and other team members to ensure project goals are met

Preparing detailed drawings specifications and cost estimates for preservation projects

Overseeing construction work to ensure adherence to plans and specifications

Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns that arise

Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related field

Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect

Strong knowledge of building codes regulations and preservation guidelines

Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit or other design software

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Preference will be given to Canadian candidates who are fluent in English
