Part-Time Faculty – Architecture Design Studio (Fall 2026) Syracuse University – School of Architecture Location: Fisher Center, 136 Madison Ave, New York, NY Position Details Type: Part-time, adjunct (PTI/Adjunct) Teaching Load: One 6-credit hour architecture design studio Start Date: Fall 2026 semester Salary Range: $27,000 – $30,000 per course FLSA Status: Non-exempt On-Campus Requirement: Regular in-person presence required Responsibilities Develop and update syllabus Prepare lectures, projects, and student assignments Maintain office hours and meet all class periods Grade assignments and submit mid-semester/final grades Provide instruction aligned with course competencies and performance levels Qualifications Required: Professional degree in Architecture Advanced degree in Architecture or closely related design field Professional design experience and record of recognized research (built work, scholarship, publications, or exhibits) Preferred: Teaching experience in an accredited professional architecture program Strong intellectual and artistic direction Application Instructions Submit via online application: Cover letter Curriculum vitae One-page course proposal (title, abstract, sample bibliography) Optional: reference syllabi (can upload via “Teaching Philosophy” field) Application Deadline: May 15, 2026 Posting Date: March 10, 2026 Apply
