Part‑Time Faculty Interest Pool – Architectural Drafting and Design Department
Portland Community College is accepting applications for part‑time faculty in the Architectural Drafting and Design Department at the Sylvania Campus. This is a general interest pool; assignments will be made as course needs arise during the academic year.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor of Architecture degree and at least four years of recent technical experience in residential or light commercial design.
Or, demonstrated competence on a course‑by‑course basis; instructor must have requisite knowledge and at least five years of professional experience in that area.
Applicants must resettle in Oregon or Washington and have the legal right to work in the United States.
Veteran preference: Oregon Veterans' Preference in Public Employment applies. Veterans and disabled veterans can claim this preference during application. Documentation required: Veterans – DD214; Disabled veterans – DD214 and VA letter.
Acceptance of required criminal background check.
No visa sponsorship is available.

As a part‑time faculty employee, you may be eligible for benefits such as Oregon Sick Leave and retirement savings plans. Hourly rates are determined by course type (lecture, lab, or lecture/lab) and start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule.
