About the Position

This role will design and manage K‑12 educational projects across Michigan, combining technical expertise, creativity, and client relationship skills to support current and future business development.

Role and Responsibilities

Lead and participate in all phases of K‑12 and higher education project design and execution, from concept through construction.

Interpret and apply Michigan State Education Department (SED) requirements for public school projects.

Ensure compliance with SED procedures, staying current with all relevant updates and protocols.

Collaborate closely with clients, developing trusted relationships and ensuring alignment with project vision and goals.

Engage in business development activities, identifying new client needs, attending presentations, and contributing to strategic planning.

Qualifications

Licensed Architect in the state of Michigan.

10+ years of architectural experience, focusing on K‑12 and higher education facilities.

In‑depth understanding of Michigan StateEducation Department procedures for public schools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with client‑facing experience.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
