Plumbing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Engineer or Designer to
support plumbing system design for healthcare, education, and commercial
building projects. This position will be responsible for developing plumbing
layouts, calculations, equipment selections, and construction documents while
coordinating closely with multidisciplinary project teams. The ideal candidate
will have strong building systems experience and be comfortable independently
managing design responsibilities from concept through construction.

 Responsibilities

* Design and develop plumbing systems for healthcare, K-12,
higher education, and commercial facilities.
* Prepare domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, natural
gas, and related plumbing system layouts and calculations.
* Perform equipment sizing, fixture calculations, piping
sizing, and system design in accordance with applicable codes.
* Develop plans, specifications, schedules, details, and
construction documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
* Coordinate plumbing systems with HVAC, electrical,
architectural, structural, and other building disciplines.
* Support construction administration, site visits, field
coordination, and resolution of design and installation issues.

Requirements

* 5+ years of plumbing design experience within the building
engineering, MEP, or AEC industry.
* Experience designing plumbing systems for healthcare, K-12,
higher education, commercial, or similar facilities.
* Strong knowledge of domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage,
natural gas, and related building plumbing systems.
* Experience with plumbing calculations, equipment selection,
piping layouts, applicable codes, and construction documentation.
* Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD; engineering degree and
PE license are preferred for engineering-level candidates but not
required.
* Ability to work independently, coordinate with
multidisciplinary teams, and travel to project sites and Syracuse as
needed.
