PM​/Architect II

Position: PM / Architect II PM / ARCHITECT II - Salt Lake City, UT officeDesign West Architects is seeking to hire a licensed and experienced architect to be a project manager in our Salt Lake City office.The ideal candidate will excel in developing people and projects and will possess a strong portfolio of work from public and private clients. You will also have solid performance in project management, blending fiscal performance with predictable, on-time delivery of milestones and contracts.Though not a requirement to apply, preference will be given to Associate or Senior Associate candidates who have demonstrated a history of performance for clients; and experience in implementing and/or managing effective studio processes.Duties will include:Working on all phases of design services, from programming and conceptual design through construction administration.Directing and managing the design process, client experience, and firm processes.Interfacing with clients and potential clientsCollaborating with our Director of Marketing and Principals to establish long-term, strategic objectives for our Salt Lake City office.Local traveling, with potential for limited regional traveling.Mentoring a staff of 8-12 studio employees.Qualifications include:Licensed UT Architect, NCARB certification preferredMaster of Architecture degree from accredited program5-8 years of experience in architecture, construction management, or project managementProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsProficient in all industry-standard applicationsThis full-time position is located near downtown Salt Lake City.
