Principal AI Architect – Cloud

Job Description P3+Uplift has partnered with a highly innovative Midwest-based enterprise organization in their search for a Principal Architect to help shape and scale next-generation AI capabilities across the business. This role will focus on driving AI-native architecture initiatives supporting areas such as enterprise productivity, product innovation, operational efficiency, and intelligent workflow automation. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly visible innovation-focused team where you’ll help rapidly prototype, experiment, and architect scalable AI solutions from concept through production in a modern cloud-first environment. What You’ll Be Doing: • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise AI and cloud-native solutions • Design and scale RAG pipelines, vector search systems, and LLM evaluation frameworks • Build and guide AI agent architectures using modern orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, or similar technologies • Develop secure and scalable AI-enabled platforms leveraging cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices • Integrate enterprise AI technologies including Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Copilot, and related AI tooling • Collaborate closely with architects, platform engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to define future-state AI capabilities • Establish governance, observability, security, and intentional AI standards across solutions and platforms • Lead technical strategy discussions around cloud security, enterprise integrations, and AI platform architecture • Mentor architects and engineering teams while helping drive innovation and technical excellence across the organization What We’re Looking For: • Deep architecture and cloud engineering experience across enterprise-scale environments • Strong understanding of AI/LLM technologies, vector databases, retrieval systems, and modern AI frameworks • Experience designing secure cloud-native platforms and distributed systems • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments • Strong background in security architecture, secure coding practices, and cloud governance • Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies • Ability to influence technical strategy and communicate effectively with both technical and business leadership • Someone who thrives in fast-moving, innovative environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges Why This Opportunity Stands Out: • Opportunity to shape enterprise AI architecture strategy from the ground up • Work on cutting-edge AI, cloud, and intelligent automation initiatives • Highly visible role with influence across engineering and technology leadership • Collaborative environment focused on innovation, experimentation, and modern engineering practices • Opportunity to mentor and guide engineering teams while establishing enterprise architecture standards • Strong long-term growth potential within a stable and technology-focused organization If you’re passionate about AI architecture, cloud innovation, and helping enterprises build intelligent next-generation platforms, we’d love to connect with you.
