Principal Architect, Digital Channels

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Chase Digital Technology & Architecture team seeks motivated, experienced architects to lead strategy, modernization, engineering acceleration, and business innovation. Architects will be responsible for partnering with senior leadership in the business and technology to define and evolve multi-year strategies, incorporating business objectives as well as enterprise technology objectives. Architects must have strong digital transformation and product delivery experience and be capable of producing practical, valuable and credible guidance/architecture for product teams. Defines the technical target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategy.Participates in architecture governance bodies. Evaluates recommendations and provides feedback on new technologies.Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.Experience in domain driven design, data modeling, micro services architecture, event & streaming technologies and best practices.Advanced experience in API design and management, Service definition and consumption including API, brokers, REST APIs.Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in digital web and mobile application development.In-depth knowledge of industry-standard security best practices for public-facing digital applications.Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and in building cloud-native application.Defining Non-functional requirements and architectures to satisfy availability, extensibility, and resiliency needs.Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.Ability to work well at a conceptual and practical levels, resolve…
