Principal Network Architect

Our client is searching for a highly skilled Principal Network Architect to design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructures. This on-site role is based in Provo, Utah, US , and requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in enterprise-level networking solutions. You will be responsible for defining network strategies, overseeing the deployment of new technologies, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the company's network. The Principal Network Architect will lead architectural reviews, develop network standards and best practices, and provide technical leadership to the network engineering team. Key responsibilities include designing high-availability WAN/LAN architectures, implementing and managing routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), configuring firewalls and VPNs, and optimizing network performance. Expertise in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is essential, as is a strong understanding of network security principles and technologies. You will also be involved in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and troubleshooting complex network issues. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with significant experience in network design and architecture. Professional certifications such as CCIE or CCNP are highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proven ability to lead technical projects are required.
