Role SummaryWe are seeking a Principal‑level SD‑WAN Architect with deep, hands‑on expertise in Aruba EdgeConnect (Silver Peak) to perform a focused design review and optimization of an existing enterprise SD‑WAN deployment (~180 sites). This engagement is not a greenfield deployment. The architect will be responsible for critically evaluating the current design, validating failure behavior, identifying architectural risks, and recommending concrete improvements. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct a comprehensive design review of an existing Aruba EdgeConnect SD‑WAN deploymentAnalyze high availability and failover behavior, with a goal of eliminating manual interventionEvaluate routing architecture, including symmetric and asymmetric traffic patternsReview and validate integration with Palo Alto PrismaAnalyze real‑world and theoretical failure scenarios (links, devices, tunnels, services)Identify design gaps, risks, and scalability concernsProvide a clear set of prioritized architectural recommendations and remediation optionsPresent findings to senior technical stakeholders and leadershipRequirements Required QualificationsSenior / Principal‑level experience in enterprise network architectureDemonstrated, hands‑on expertise with Aruba EdgeConnect (Silver Peak) SD‑WANExperience reviewing and optimizing existing SD‑WAN deployments (not only greenfield)Strong understanding of: SD‑WAN HA and failover mechanismsOverlay/underlay routing behaviorTraffic steering and path selectionSymmetry vs asymmetry implicationsExperience integrating SD‑WAN with cloud‑based security platforms (Prisma preferred)Strongly PreferredAruba EdgeConnect / Silver Peak certificationsPalo Alto Prisma Access experienceExperience performing failure testing and validation exercisesAbility to clearly document findings and defend design recommendations
