Principal Software Architect - Cloud Native Solutions

As a Principal Architect, you will mentor and guide engineering teams, driving technical excellence and fostering a culture of innovation. Your responsibilities will include establishing architectural standards, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring the long-term maintainability and performance of our software solutions. You will collaborate closely with product management, engineering leads, and operations teams to translate business requirements into robust technical designs. This role requires exceptional technical depth, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to influence technical decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities: Define and drive the architectural vision for cloud-native applications and platforms. Design scalable, high-availability, and secure microservices-based systems. Establish and enforce architectural best practices, patterns, and standards. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and frameworks to enhance our technology stack. Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance to development teams. Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of all deployed software systems. Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across the software development lifecycle. Contribute to capacity planning and infrastructure optimization. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on architectural design and leadership. Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker). Deep understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and API design. Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Proven ability to lead and influence technical teams.
