Arquitectonica is an award-winning, design-focused architecture and planning firm with a worldwide practice of 500+ employees located in eleven offices. Our Coconut Grove (Miami area) office is seeking a senior Architect with 8+ years’ experience to join our team. Projects include Multi-Family Residential, Hospitality, and Mixed Use.

As a Project Architect at Arquitectonica, you will function as a core member of the project team and be responsible for developing and coordinating the production of quality contract documents. This position requires an advanced understanding of architectural design, technical detailing, building systems, and current construction practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:Lead the production of high-quality drawings, Revit models, and specifications that can easily be interpreted by consultants and government agencies and efficiently utilized by contractors in the fieldCommunicate professionally, thoroughly, and articulately with the project team, project manager, consultants.Evaluate plans and specifications prepared by the design team and external consultants (engineers and other design professionals), identifying conflicts, gaps, and opportunities to improve clarityAbility to manage consultant work to meet deadlines, including leading regular consultant coordination meetings.Participate in internal and external project meetings and understand project scope, milestones, and risk areas in order to establish appropriate plans for on-time completion of project deadlinesOversee and provide quality control for:Adherence to firm and industry standardsConstruction and integration with typical means and methodsCode, life safety, accessibility, and agency complianceSustainability goals and project-specific performance requirementsRevit and BIM360 modelsMinimum Requirements:Minimum 8 years post-grad experience in architectureExperience as a Project Architect on several completed projects, from conception through completion. Multi-Family Residential, Hospitality, and Mixed Use experience is strongly preferred.Experience with full-service construction documentationExcellent communication skills, both orally and writtenProficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft OfficeConfident communication and presentation skillsAttention to detail on all project related tasksQA/ QC experienceAbility to travel as required

Compensation
Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience and abilities.

This is a full-time, in-office role based in our Coconut Grove, FL. Please note relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
