Project Architect

About the position We are currently seeking a Project Architect with 8+ years of experience to join our studio in New Orleans, LA. Responsibilities Lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality delivery.Serve as a primary point of coordination for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members throughout the life of a project.Develop, coordinate, and oversee drawing sets, technical documentation, and project specifications.Guide the technical execution of projects, ensuring quality, code compliance, and integration of building systems.Support project delivery by helping manage schedules, budgets, staffing coordination, and project milestones in collaboration with Project Managers and firm leadership.Coordinate permitting and regulatory submissions with applicable federal, state, and local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).Lead construction administration activities on small to medium projects, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and change orders.Conduct site observations, prepare field reports, and support resolution of construction issues.Mentor and support junior staff through technical guidance, collaboration, and day-to-day project leadership.Represent the firm professionally in meetings, presentations, and project-related interactions with external stakeholders.Contribute to a collaborative studio culture that values design excellence, sustainability, and high-performance outcomes.Requirements Familiarity with sustainable design practices and/or LEED/WELL credentials.Benefits
