Job Description

This role leads projects from concept through construction, coordinating closely with clients, internal teams, and a wide range of consultants. The Project Architect oversees the full documentation process, resolves complex technical and design issues, and ensures that all project deliverables align with the design intent and meet high technical standards. The position requires strong Revit proficiency, solid construction administration experience, and the ability to manage projects from start to finish while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Coordinate multiple aspects of client, team, and project activities, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout all phases of the project.Lead and manage full documentation coordination with consultants, including structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, and life safety disciplines.Resolve complex technical and design issues in collaboration with the project team to develop innovative, practical, and constructible solutions.Direct the production of drawings, specifications, and other construction documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.Oversee construction administration tasks, including site-related documentation and coordination during the construction phase.Take responsibility for the oversight and delivery of all project documents, ensuring they reflect the design intent and meet high technical quality standards.Process submittals and substitution requests during construction and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) in a timely and thorough manner.Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases to support approvals and resolve code-related issues.Manage team communication and oversee coordination with all consultants, ensuring that schedules, deliverables, and responsibilities are clearly defined and met.Guide projects from initial design through completion, ensuring that client expectations, project goals, and technical requirements are consistently achieved.Essential Skills

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Architecture.5+ years of professional experience in architecture.Licensed or registered Architect, or currently on the final licensing exam with the ability to obtain licensure within one year.Strong proficiency with Revit software, including Revit Architecture.Demonstrated experience creating complete, detailed construction documents.Experience working on projects from concept through completion (A–Z).Construction administration experience, including handling submittals, substitutions, and RFIs.Experience coordinating with MEP and other engineering consultants.Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders.Strong project management capabilities within an architectural context.Experience interfacing with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction phases.Coordinating with specialty consultants such as structural, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, and life safety.Recruiter: Eisen Hardy - '[email protected]'

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
