LGA Architecture is seeking a thoughtful and creative Project Architect to join our collaborative, purpose-driven team in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. This is an opportunity to design with meaning — creating spaces that connect people to place, nature, and one another.
We’re looking for someone with at least 8 years of professional experience, a degree in architecture, and current architectural licensure. You should be comfortable leading both the design and technical aspects of projects, from early concept through construction.
At LGA, we consider ourselves a learning organization. We value curiosity over certainty, and we believe that a willingness to listen, grow, and challenge assumptions leads to better outcomes — for our projects, our clients, and our team. We’re looking for someone who brings a growth mindset, not just a résumé of completed projects.
The ideal candidate brings:
Strong design sensibility and technical rigor Experience with public-sector projects and stakeholder engagement Leadership skills that inspire trust and collaboration A commitment to sustainability and community impact Excellent communication and presentation skills An open mind and a collaborative spirit Our work — from visitor centers to community spaces — is driven by respect, dialogue, and deep engagement with the people we serve. You’ll be part of a team that’s passionate about architecture and even more passionate about making a difference.
We offer a competitive salary based on qualifications, along with a strong benefits package and an energizing work environment.
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program Current architectural licensure Minimum 8 years of professional architectural experience Demonstrated experience leading projects from concept through construction Strong proficiency in construction document production Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility requirements, and construction administration Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail Preferred
Experience with civic, community, cultural, educational, parks, recreation, or public-sector projects Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, public outreach, and client presentations Knowledge of sustainable design principles and high-performance building strategies LEED Accredited Professional, Living Future Accreditation, or similar credentials Experience working with federal, state, or local government agencies What You'll Bring
A growth mindset and commitment to lifelong learning Curiosity, humility, and a willingness to challenge assumptions Strong design thinking balanced with technical problem-solving A collaborative approach and ability to build trust with clients, consultants, and teammates Passion for creating meaningful places that strengthen communities and connect people to nature
