Project Architect

Allegrone is looking for a motivated, experienced Architect to become a leader of the design team within a fast-growing Design-Build firm. Responsibilities will include coordinating project designs, develop creative-design solutions for projects, and prepare presentation and design/construction drawings and details. Must be competent in all conventional aspects of architecture. The position will require the ability to work independently on architectural design projects that will entail exercising independent judgment, use of standard architectural techniques, and problem-solving when encountered while coordinating draft people staff and design/engineering consultants, and holding occasional client meetings when needed. The Project Designer will receive technical guidance on unusual or complex issues and supervisory approval on proposed project plans for purposes of design/quality control, but is encouraged to make bold decisions as a prime decision-maker of the design team.

Qualifications:

Professional degree in architecture, plus a minimum 12-15 years of experience and certification as a licensed professional.Must be able to work both collaboratively as a team alongside other architects, designers, and staff as well as independently when required to facilitate smaller projects.Extensive experience in architectural drafting and coordination with engineers/consultants.Must understand how to write, interpret, and manipulate project specifications as required.

Software skills:

Proficiency in Autodesk software’s including Revit Architecture is an absolute prerequisite – candidates who do not have at least 3 years experience utilizing the software will not be considered. In addition, must be generally familiar with Autodesk Recap and Navisworks.Must be familiar with Microsoft 365 environment and Adobe software’s including Photoshop. Proficiency in these software’s is preferred, but not required.Proficiency with navigating Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or BIM 360 is preferred, but not required.
