Project Architect

Smith Sinnett Architecture is seeking a Project Architect to join our Raleigh studio. For 50 years, we have partnered with communities across North Carolina to design K-12, higher education, civic, state, municipal, public safety, and community-centered facilities. Responsibilities

Lead the architectural development of projects through all phases of design and construction
Translate design concepts into coordinated, technically sound project documents
Prepare and coordinate drawings, specifications, details, and other construction documents
Coordinate architectural work with consultants and internal project team members
Support code analysis, quality control, permitting, bidding, and construction administration
Prepare and present design concepts, diagrams, renderings, and project materials for client and stakeholder review
Assist with project schedules, budgets, work plans, and technical coordination
Collaborate with firm leaders and project managers to deliver high-quality design and exceptional client service
Provide guidance and mentorship to emerging professionals

Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture
5+ years of professional experience
Architectural licensure preferred or active pursuit required
Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, building systems, codes, and construction documentation
Experience with sustainable building rating systems
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and various rendering software
Experience with public-sector projects is a plus
