Project Architect

The role at a glance: NBBJ's California studio is seeking a Project Architect with experience in the design, documentation and planning of complex projects at various scales including large-scale hospitals and ambulatory care centers. This is an opportunity to join a fully integrated design studio where a diverse group of technical architects, interior designers, medical planners collaborate as a team from concept design through construction. In your new role, you will: • Support the technical design and documentation of projects at various scales, focusing on healthcare environments, from large hospitals to complex department renovations • Develop and finalize documents to ensure compliance with building codes, life safety standards, FGI guidelines, with a focus on technical accuracy and regulatory adherence • Coordinate with interior, MEP, and structural disciplines throughout the design and documentation phases • Lead small teams on a variety of project scales • Collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers from Concept Design through Construction Administration • Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, effective client relationship skills, and talent for working with diverse teams of designers and consultants in a collaborative environment.
