Architectural Design Associate with 5–10 Years of Experience

Collins | Webb Architecture (CWA) is a boutique architecture firm with a diverse portfolio of projects across the Kansas City region and beyond. From commercial and mixed-use developments to workplace, hospitality, entertainment, and specialty facilities, our work is varied, challenging, and anything but routine.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Develop and advance architectural designs through SD, DD, CD and CA. Produce accurate, coordinated Revit models, drawing sets, and architectural details.Apply building codes, accessibility requirements, material selections, and constructability principles to design solutions.Coordinate with engineering consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and construction administration.Balance multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program or equivalent educational background supporting professional practice.Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including BIM modeling and construction document production.Demonstrated experience developing commercial architectural construction documents and technical details.Working knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, construction methods, and building materials.Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute in a collaborative studio environment.

What Would Set You Apart

Architectural licensure or active progress toward licensure.Experience across multiple commercial project types.Construction administration and field observation experience.Additional proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, or other visualization software.Confidence presenting design solutions and communicating with clients.An eye for design paired with an understanding of how buildings get built.
