About the Role
Stillpoint AEC is partnering with a highly respected architecture and design firm to identify a Registered Architect for its Raleigh office. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a firm recognized for creating thoughtful, community-focused architecture across a diverse portfolio of civic, educational, healthcare, institutional, multifamily, commercial, and public-sector projects.
The Registered Architect will play a key role in project planning, design, technical development, consultant coordination, and client engagement throughout all phases of project delivery. This position is ideal for an architect with 5-12 years of experience who enjoys balancing design excellence with technical execution while working closely with clients, project teams, and firm leadership. More senior candidates with leadership and project management experience are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to architectural projects from programming and conceptual design through construction administrationPrepare and coordinate design documents, construction drawings, specifications, and project deliverablesCollaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams throughout project executionDevelop creative and technically sound design solutions that meet project goals and client expectationsCoordinate multidisciplinary project teams including structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and specialty consultantsParticipate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control effortsConduct code analysis and ensure compliance with applicable building codes and regulationsReview project documentation for quality, constructability, and technical accuracySupport permitting efforts and agency coordination activitiesParticipate in client presentations, meetings, and project discussionsMentor emerging professionals and contribute to a collaborative studio environmentAssist with business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship initiatives as opportunities arise
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Architecture requiredRegistered Architect preferredCandidates actively completing ARE examinations and progressing toward licensure will also be considered5-12 years of professional experience within an architecture or AEC consulting environment preferredMore senior candidates with extensive project leadership experience are encouraged to applyStrong experience developing construction documents and coordinating multidisciplinary project teamsProficiency with Revit requiredExperience with commercial, civic, healthcare, education, institutional, public-sector, multifamily, or community-focused projects preferredStrong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and project delivery processesExcellent communication, organizational, and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail
