Project Architect - Higher Education

Project Architect – Higher Education You will work with a team that is aligned with our open and flexible culture that encourages individual initiative and collaboration. You will build trusting relationships within the team and across Kahler Slater. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of a Project Architect –– Higher Education: 7+ years of experience as an architectural professional with experience in higher education, sports and/or civic/culture markets Experience with public and private higher education clients/projects preferred Professional degree in Architecture Architectural registration is required 4+ years of Revit production experience, and proficiency utilizing Revit and automation technologies Experience in the selection of building materials and systems Successful team-orientation and collaboration behaviors Diligent in seeking solutions to complex problems Strong communication skills, spoken, written, and graphic Focus on collaboration and cooperation with others, demonstrating project and technical leadership Highly attentive to client needs Ability to coach and be coachable Able to work effectively under pressure and within restrictive time deadlines and budget parameters while maintaining focus, positive attitude Completion of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Construction & Professional Services Manual (CPSM) Webinar and prior Division of Engineering & Buildings (DEB) project experience preferred
