Northline Architects | Canandaigua, New York

Northline Architects is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced licensed architect who can bring together thoughtful design, strong technical judgment, and confident project leadership.

This is a hands-on position within a small, growing practice. You won’t be limited to one phase of a project or placed into a narrow production role. You’ll help shape projects from early design through documentation, approvals, and construction—working directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and the rest of our team.

Our work includes custom residential, historic and adaptive-reuse projects, multifamily housing, commercial renovations, and other projects throughout the Finger Lakes and Greater Rochester region. While the project types vary, our approach remains consistent: create architecture that is beautiful, durable, efficient, and carefully resolved.

You should care about the quality of the finished building, not just the initial concept or the drawing set. You should also be comfortable working in an environment where your judgment matters, your ideas are heard, and your contribution will directly influence the direction of the firm.

Why Work at Northline:

Northline offers the opportunity to help build something—not simply step into a position within a large existing structure. You’ll work closely with the firm’s principal, have meaningful influence over projects and practice standards, and play an important role in shaping how the firm grows.

We care deeply about good architecture, clear communication, technical quality, and delivering a consistently strong experience for our clients. We’re looking for someone who shares those priorities and wants to grow with the practice.
