Role Description The Project Architect / Sr. Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role located in Lenexa, KS. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating architectural and interior design projects from concept through construction, including programming, space planning, design development, and production of detailed construction documents. Daily tasks include reviewing and preparing submittals, collaborating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring design intent and technical quality are maintained throughout the project. The individual will participate in client meetings, support construction administration activities such as site visits and field reports, and help integrate sustainable design principles and BIM workflows into project delivery. The role also involves mentoring junior team members and contributing to internal standards and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong background in Architecture, with experience in project design and documentation.Proficiency in Project Management, including scheduling, coordination, and budget awareness.Ability to manage and review Submittals and other construction administration documentation.Knowledge of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles and sustainable design practices.Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows (e.g., Revit).Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program.Professional licensure or active pursuit of licensure is preferred.Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work on-site full-time and coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.Previous experience as a project architect or senior interior designer on commercial or institutional projects is beneficial.
