Project Architect/Project Manager

Project Architect/PM | Washington, DC

An award-winning, leading midsize architecture and design firm is seeking an experienced Project Architect/PM to join its Washington, DC team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically driven architect to work on highly visible, complex projects that require sophisticated coordination, thoughtful problem-solving, and a high level of technical execution. The ideal candidate enjoys the challenge of figuring out how ambitious designs come together and wants to contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact on the built environment.

The Role:

Lead projects through design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
Oversee the development and coordination of complex Revit models and drawing packages
Develop technical solutions that maintain design intent while addressing constructability, code, and performance requirements
Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary consultants, contractors, clients, and internal design teams
Review documentation for technical accuracy, coordination, and quality
Manage RFIs, submittals, field conditions, and other construction administration activities
Identify and resolve technical and coordination challenges throughout project delivery
Support project schedules, deliverables, and team workflow
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
Collaborate with design leadership to successfully execute highly detailed and technically challenging projects

Qualifications:

8-12+ years of professional architecture experience
Degree in Architecture from an accredited program or equivalent
Professional licensure preferred
Strong understanding of Revit and experience using it to deliver complex projects
Excellent technical architecture and detailing capabilities
Thorough understanding of construction documentation, constructability, building codes, and accessibility requirements
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants and contractors
Strong Construction Administration experience
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Pay: $11,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
