Your Role

As a Gensler Project Manager, you will leverage your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional projects on time and on budget. Grow your project management experience while working on trendsetting projects across industries. A focus for the role will be building client relationships and driving business opportunities.

What You Will Do

Lead project teams for multiple core & shell projectsManage all phases, including project set-up, programming, design, and construction administrationEstablish and maintain productive client relationshipsEngage directly with clients in coordination with all stakeholders to assure approvalsManage project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets, project set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultantsTrack and manage the financial performance of projectsPrepare project proposal, negotiate fees and contractsCoordinate bidding processEnsure projects conform to contractCreate and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and requirementsActively support firmwide sustainability and resilience goals, guiding clients and project teams toward multi-benefit sustainable and resilient design solutionsActively mentor the next generation of leadership by inspiring, empowering and leading by exampleAdvance an integrated design culture on your projects, including mentoring, providing resources, facilitating discourse, spearheading initiatives + recruitment and onboarding of new team members

Your Qualifications

10-15 years of experience in the commercial Architecture & Design industry, inclusive of experience as a Project ManagerExperience delivering architecture and master planning projects for Government and Higher Education clients (including State construction agencies)Experience leading projects of a variety of scalesStrong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal management skillsAbility to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents.Commitment to a collaborative design processExperience negotiating project scope and feesKnowledge of local building codes and standardsA commitment to the principles of sustainable design, and experience integrating them on specific projectsProfessional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture from an accredited programLicensed / Registered Architect and LEED accreditation are a plusProven experience mentoring and coaching teammatesProven experience building trust with clients and developing client relationshipsThis is not a hybrid or remote position.
