RDK Software Architect

Location: Denver, US – Hybrid

The Role

We're looking for an experienced RDK Software Architect to support the development and integration of next-generation broadband and Wi-Fi products.

You'll work closely with customer software engineering teams while acting as the technical bridge into global R&D and QA teams, with a particular focus on RDK integration across Wi-Fi and DOCSIS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the dedicated RDK technical specialist supporting a major US operator account.Work directly alongside customer software development and engineering teams.Support RDK software integration across Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi 8 and DOCSIS 4.0 platforms.Understand and work with RDK code structure, repositories, software requirements and development processes.Translate customer technical requirements into actionable information for R&D and QA teams.Coordinate closely with global engineering teams throughout development, integration and validation.Support software validation, lab testing and bench testing of RDK-enabled devices.Troubleshoot integration issues and help drive technical issues through to resolution.Gather customer requirements and provide ongoing technical support throughout product development and deployment.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with RDK, ideally RDK-B within broadband, gateway or Wi-Fi products.Strong understanding of embedded software development and architecture.Experience working with embedded Linux-based networking devices.Understanding of software repositories, code structures, integration and release/development processes.Experience supporting or developing broadband CPE, gateways, routers or similar connected devices.Knowledge of modern Wi-Fi technologies; Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 experience would be particularly relevant.DOCSIS knowledge would be highly beneficial, particularly exposure to DOCSIS 3.1 or DOCSIS 4.0.OpenSync and/or Plume experience would be advantageous.Comfortable performing validation, lab and bench testing alongside software-focused responsibilities.Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to work between operator and engineering organizations.Able to coordinate effectively with globally distributed R&D and QA teams.
