The role

A long-established Architecture practice in Shelby, NC is looking for a mid-career Registered Architect to take on a visible leadership role, with a clear route into part ownership.

This is a full-time opportunity for someone with 10+ years’ experience who wants autonomy, variety and a meaningful place in the local community. Part ownership is expected to be discussed within around six months to one year for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead projects from Concept through to Construction Administration, working closely with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors and local officials.

Projects may include:

Commercial design and tenant improvementsAdditions and alterationsMunicipal and public facilitiesCustom residential workManufacturing and industrial buildingsReligious and faith community projectsYou will manage timelines, budgets and project delivery, while helping guide the team and support the future direction of the firm.

The person

You will need:

Active Registered Architect license, with NC license or reciprocity eligibility10+ years’ Architecture experienceStrong knowledge of all project phasesConfidence working with clients, contractors and consultantsAutoCAD skillsRevit, Rhino, D5 Render or similar 3D visualization experience helpfulNCARB certification preferredHistoric preservation experience beneficial
