This role provides architectural expertise for planning, design, construction documentation, and facility assessments in accordance with federal standards, building codes, and USACE requirements. Registered Architect licensed in the United States.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.Professional experience supporting architectural design, facility planning, construction documentation, and project coordination.Experience designing temporary or permanent facilities, including emergency response or recovery-related structures.Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, life safety requirements, ADA standards, and construction practices.Proficiency in architectural design and drafting software including AutoCAD, Revit, or similar applications.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and federal stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting USACE, FEMA, GSA, DoD, or other federal facility and infrastructure programs.Experience preparing Design-Build technical packages and construction documents for government projects.Familiarity with sustainable design practices, resiliency planning, and LEED principles.Experience with 3D modeling and visualization software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or BIM-based applications.Experience supporting emergency response, temporary facility deployment, or post-disaster recovery operations.Project management experience supporting multidisciplinary design and construction teams.Responsibilities: Design temporary and permanent facilities supporting emergency response, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resiliency operations.Prepare Design-Build technical packages, architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation in accordance with USACE standards and project requirements.Conduct facility assessments, site evaluations, and field inspections to support recovery planning and infrastructure restoration activities.Coordinate with engineers, contractors, planners, and government representatives to ensure integrated and compliant project delivery.Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, life safety requirements, and federal design criteria.Support project scheduling, cost estimating, design reviews, and construction coordination activities.Review construction progress and provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to approved design documents and quality standards.Participate in emergency response support activities and post-disaster infrastructure evaluations as required.Maintain awareness of evolving architectural standards, construction technologies, and resiliency practices applicable to federal recovery projects.Skills: The ideal candidate must possess strong architectural design and facility planning expertise to support the development of temporary and permanent facilities for emergency response and recovery operations.
