We are currently seeking a talented Landscape Designer to join our Richmond-based Residential Studio. You’ll be part of a growing team shaping some of the region’s most significant private residential commissions.

The ideal candidate brings a strong design sensibility and a minimum of three years of experience, contributing across all phases of project development—from site research and conceptual design through construction documentation and administration. This role offers meaningful professional growth within a dynamic studio environment, working alongside a close-knit team committed to thoughtful, high-quality design.

Responsibilities

Additional requirements are as follows:

Participate in collaborative project teams with a focus on co-creationPlan, organize, and be responsible for your own work within your project teamExecute a broad scope of tasks from small projects to large assignmentsAssist more experienced designers, as well as provide direction to interns, technical drafters, and administrative staffLandscape drawing production and organization (conceptual through technical)Tackle unusual design and technical challenges within large projectsWork collaboratively across multiple design disciplines

Qualifications And Skills

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited College or University3 years minimum of related residential landscape design experience at a landscape architecture or other design firmProactively tracking toward licensure if not licensedExperience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS OfficeExcellent organization and time management skillsRegional plant knowledge and understanding of horticultural best practicesExpertise in written, oral and graphic communicationExpertise in reading, analyzing and interpreting professional literature, technical procedures and governmental regulationsAbility to collaboratively work across multiple design disciplines
