Benefits: Competitive salary Location 100% Remote Open to nationwide candidates Experience Level Senior Level (10 or more years of relevant SAP and infrastructure experience) Role Overview The SAP Basis Administrator and Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise SAP environments across a complex, multi-system landscape. This role provides both hands-on Basis administration and architectural guidance, supporting system upgrades, performance optimization, and infrastructure strategy. Key Responsibilities SAP Basis Administration & Operations Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems and supporting componentsManage enhancement packs, support packages, OSS notes, and system upgradesMonitor system performance and conduct workload analysis, error analysis, and health checksManage SAP profiles, parameters, and system configurationsAdminister system copies, client copies, refreshes, and transport managementInfrastructure Architecture & System Design Provide architectural guidance for SAP environments across Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server platformsDefine hardware specifications and support infrastructure planning for SAP landscapesDevelop implementation strategies, processes, and best practices for system deployment and maintenanceAssist in creating high-level implementation roadmaps and solution designsPerformance Optimization & Troubleshooting Analyze system and database performance and implement tuning improvementsTroubleshoot infrastructure, OS, and SAP-related issuesEnsure optimal disk layout, filesystem structure, and operating system configurationEstablish OSS and EarlyWatch connections for proactive system monitoringIntegration & Platform Support Support SAP integrations with third-party systems and technologiesWork across multi-system SAP environments including core application, analytics, and integration platformsProvide technical consulting for development, functional, and integration teamsProject Leadership & Collaboration Lead technical initiatives and coordinate work across multiple teamsProvide work estimates, manage change requests, and ensure timely deliveryCollaborate with technical, functional, and business teams to align solutions with requirementsInvestigate new SAP technologies and recommend improvementsDocumentation, Training & Knowledge Transfer Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational proceduresProvide formal knowledge transfer through documentation, training sessions, and peer mentoringCommunicate technical concepts, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholdersRequired Qualifications Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, or equivalent professional experience10 or more years of experience with ABAP solution architecture10 or more years of experience with ABAP and Java installation and configuration10 or more years of experience with SAP upgrades, enhancement packs, OSS notes, support packs, and troubleshooting5 or more years of experience working with SAP NetWeaver releases5 or more years of experience supporting SAP in public sector environmentsStrong experience with Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server environmentsExperience working with virtualization technologies such as VMwarePreferred Qualifications Experience supporting ECC, SRM, BW, PI, Solution Manager, Fiori, or Business Objects environmentsExperience with SAP architecture and solution designExperience with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Visio, and ProjectExperience with Microsoft Server and SQL Server administrationExperience supporting SAP upgrades and enhancement pack implementationsProject management experienceCore Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and technical mentoring capabilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work in fast-paced, complex environmentsStrong collaboration across technical and functional teamsAttention to detail and commitment to system reliability and performance This is a remote position.
