Senior Application Architect - Up to $200 per hour

Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid) Up to $200 per hour Our client is seeking a Senior Application Architect to lead the technical architecture and design of a next-generation cloud-native investment accounting platform used by global financial institutions. Design and own the architecture of a high-performance, cloud-native financial platform.Lead technical design, governance, and architectural decision-making across multiple development teams.Architect scalable, event-driven solutions using Java, Kafka, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Snowflake, and Azure.Design secure APIs using gRPC and REST, ensuring high availability, resilience, and operational excellence.Produce high-quality architecture documentation and collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders. 15+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience in Application Architecture.Strong background designing distributed, high-throughput financial systems.Experience within Investment Accounting, Asset Management, Fund Accounting, or Capital Markets.Expertise with Java, Kafka, Kubernetes, Azure, PostgreSQL, Redis, Snowflake, gRPC, and REST APIs.Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, scalability, resilience, and modern software design principles.
