Sales Leads:

Assist with meeting with potential clients and describing our process, demonstrating our value, gathering information in order to give a proposalRepresent the company effectively at tradeshows and local events (limited basis)Effective supporting role to the design manager in sales and leads responsibilities

Project Initiation:

Assist with gathering site and project zoning information in an organized manner for later referenceSet up new project Revit files per NEW standardsCode review as necessaryPerform initial site visits for some projects, along with design kickoffs

Schematic Design Modeling and Visuals:

Develop initial concept design in collaboration with the Design ManagerInitial Revit modeling for concept designEstablish and develop materials and renderings within Enscape for Client presentationsSource Revit families specific to project and place them in the fileDevelop programmatic ideas based on notes from client meetingsManage client communication and set up client meetings

Construction Drawing Documentation:

Set up construction drawing sets within RevitDraw plans, elevations, sections and details in Revit with little redlining from Design ManagerCoordinate as needed with consultants and contractorsMeet/manage deadlines specific to constructionManage client communication and set up client meetingsMisc.:

Review and redline sets from coworkersSpecial Projects as assigned.Assist with updating office Revit drafting standardsTravel as assigned.Proficiency with verbal and written communication including common computer applications (Microsoft word, Excel, Web, Email, Phone, and text etc.)Other responsibilities as assigned.

Working Toward:

Additional design-lead responsibilitiesAdditional group management and group leadership responsibilitiesAdditional sales responsibilitiesLead client meetingsEstablish and develop processes within the company to help us be more efficient/effectiveTake on site visits and design kickoffs with little input from design manager

Required Education:

Four year Degree or higher in Architecture or related field

Required Experience:

5+ years of experience in an architectural settingAbility to use Autodesk Revit to model and complete construction drawingsBasic skill in Microsoft Word and Excel (other MS Office programs a plus)Strong Written and Verbal communication skillsStrong creative problem-solving skillsAbility to manage and communicate effectively with clients and coworkersAbility to juggle multiple project deadlinesBackground and competency in construction practices and technical detailing

Preferred Experience:

Architect’s License in NYSBackground or interest in sustainable designBackground or interest in building science conceptsBackground and competency in residential or wood framed constructionExperience managing small to medium architectural projects

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
